Hello my wonderful tea-bags,
Yesterday, my family and I decided to head to Santa Rosa for a road trip. Our first stop down there was supposed to be the Charles M. Schulz Museum, but we arrived a little bit too early so we decided to have breakfast first.
Fortunately, we found a nice little restaurant called Hank’s Creekside Restaurant just an exit before the museum so we stopped there. I decided on something simple: eggs (sunny-side up) and chicken sausage with rye toast. The food was good and the service was even better.
After breakfast, we made our way to the museum. It was a lot different than what we remembered. Then we realized we probably went on some special Woodstock event the first time we were there. So we left kind of disappointed, but were overall satisfied with the rest of the museum exhibits.
Next stop: Costco! (For some much needed gas).
Since it was on the way, we also decided to check out the Graton Resort & Casino to see if we can find some lunch there. My family is not big on gambling or drinking, we go to casinos purely for the enjoyment of their food.
Nevertheless, we did not find lunch there. We ended up going to Santa Rosa Seafood Raw Bar & Grill. Now, the food here was phenomenal and incredibly fresh (I would not expect anything less for seafood). However, the service was a bit lacking.
One of our servers was more focused on talking with his coworkers and impressing them with his jokes than paying attention to his customers. I will brush it off as forgetfulness since our overall experience was good.
I realized that there does not seem to be a lot to do in Santa Rosa. I could be wrong. Am I? Please let me know, I would be more than happy to go back and check it out, because it is a beautiful place.
